Olivia Grace
Better late than never (Michael!)...As you can imagine we've been a little busy. =)
Olivia Grace joined our family on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:05 a.m. via c-section. She weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 18.5 inches, the exact same weight and length as big sister Kylie.
She has been a very easy baby. Right now pretty much all she does is eat and sleep. She is sleeping the majority of the night waking up once anywhere between 1 a.m.-3a.m., then waking up for the day at 6a.m. most days.
At her 5 week check-up she weighed 10 pounds and was 22", she is a very healthy eater and her weight is in the top 95% for her age.
Kylie LOVES Olivia. She frequently asks where her sister is, if she can hold her, and tell us that she wants to give her a kiss. She has far exceeded our expectations for her as a big sister.
We were fortunate to have Steven home with us for the first 2 weeks after Olivia was born. Once he went back to work it was an adjustment but we are doing pretty well on our own during the day. He also give me the weekends off and gets up with Olivia in the middle of the night to feed her, which definitely helps me recharge for the upcoming week.
Having 2 beautiful girls to take care of is much easier than I anticipated, hopefully I feel the same way as the months progress. =)

IKEA
This past Saturday I convinced Steven to come with me to IKEA since there were a few things that I wanted to get to complete Kylie's big girl room. Neither one of us had been since we got married, we will definitely be visiting again soon. The quality of the products has definitely improved. I was like a kid in a candy store (and I was not alone). We got some amazing new light fixtures for our kitchen, Steven is already planning how he will install them. Also we got a storage bookcase for Kylie's room and an adorable table and chairs set that she already loves.
Needless to say that there are many home project ideas floating around in my head and for the great prices offered at IKEA I'm be silly not to put them into action.
One project that is next on my home project wish list is to change the fabric on our kitchen chairs and stools and paint the table and chairs. I would LOVE to do this before baby #2 arrives (fingers crossed).
I will post pictures as soon as we have a project completed.

It's a girl!
On Tuesday Steven's prediction was confirmed. We will be welcoming another girl. Kylie is very excited to be having a little sister (although I think she would have been equally excited either way). Again I was wrong when guessing the gender, oh well, Steven has to be right some times ;).
Now we need to decide on a name.

I know, I know...
I have been a total slacker in posting any updates. Since I am so far behind I will not be filling in the gap since my last post but I will give as much info on Miss Kylie as I can.
- She has 12 teeth and I don't see any more coming in.
- She is in Gymboree, we all are very tired after our Gymboree days.
- She is talking up a storm. Some of the words she is saying: mommy, daddy, kitty, puppy, thank you, please, juice, bye, no, yes, book, ball, baby, potty, mess (she is definitely my child, she also likes to help me clean =) ), Mickey (as in mouse), Minnie, hot, there are much more but I can't think of them right now.
- She loves Mickey Mouse. Her first visit to Disneyland was on Steven's birthday (Dec. 14th) and we are planning on going again next week.
- She loves playing with kids her age.
- She really likes walking around stores rather than sitting in the cart, as a result I have to give myself much more time when running errands but she loves it.
- She is my helper girl with everything.
- She gets really excited when Steven comes home from work.
There are probably about a million other things but I can tell she is waking up from he nap so my time is limited.
This past weekend we bought Kylie a seat for the potty since we plan on starting with potty training soon. She is warming up to the idea and yesterday she actually went pee pee in the potty! I was very excited and I think she was very proud of herself. For those without kids I realize this is probably not the best topic but I am proud of my girl and look forward to not changing any more diapers =) (Kylie's diapers).
Here are a few pictures of her first time on the potty seat. I realize that she will loathe these pictures when she is older but what kind of parent would I be if I didn't have pictures of her on the potty?
